VermiCorp Organics Coir are 100% natural b-product of coconut harvesting - consisting of the coarse coir fibers extracted from the husk on the outer shell of a coconut. Primarily used as a growing medium because of its super water capacity coir is excellent as a soil amendment for potted plants, containers, and gardens. They are superior to peat moss and rock wool for structural stability, water absorption, drainage and doesn't decompose as quickly making it last longer in your soil.

    VermiCorp Organics Coconut Coir when added as a soil amendment, will require less fertilizers, develop stronger and more elaborate root systems plus are more resistant to many diseases, pathogens, and weeds. Coconut Coir Bricks are practical and easy to use. After being screened, graded and washed, it is compressed into bricks. This compressed size makes for easy, convenient storage. By adding water , the bricks quickly expand in size. A fully-hydrated coconut coir brick can hold up to 8 to 10 times its volume in water. We Guarantee It!

  • GENERAL APPLICATIONS

    1 Brick can be reconstituted with 3/4 gallons of water. Each VermiCorp Coconut Coir brick expands to approximately 10 quarts.

    SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS

    For Potted Plants & New Seeds
    when using potting mix, add 1 part coir to 3 parts soil.

    Hanging Baskets and any Established Potted Plant
    Add 1"–2" of coir to top of soil. Mix in, taking care not to damage shallow roots, water, and repeat every 2-3 months.

    Roses, Trees, Shrubs & Berries New or Freshly Transplanted
    Mix 1 part coir to 3 parts soil. Surround newly dug hole with mixture. Spread roots over a mound of the mix in the hole and cover.

    Established Roses
    Mix 4 cups of coir into soil 2"–3" below the surface of each plant.

    Lawns New & Established
    Apply 10lbs per 100 square feet. For new: Work lightly into the topsoil. Mix in grass seed and water well. For Established: Distribute as top dressing.
