Rebuilds, Fertilizes, Rejuvenates Soil & Mulch Enhances Lawns & Shrubbery
People often ask us, "What is Worm Castings anyways? Are there dead worms in it?
Worm Castings & Their Benefits
First and foremost - NO VermiCorp Organic Worm Castings has no dead worms! Worm castings are nature's fertilizer (worm excrement) and such comes with its own covering for slow release. There are beneficial microbes in the castings that are natural repellents to ants, fleas, ticks, chiggers, and a multitude of other pests and diseases.
A key ingredient in the slime on the exterior of a worm contains chitinase. Chitinase breaks down chitin, which is a building block of the exoskeleton of insects. These same microbes as well as a natural fungicide help eliminate or greatly reduce the need for pesticides needed to control insects and other diseases that can impact plant health.
Our Dirty Little Secret. Our methodical composting is a multi-step, closely monitored process with measured inputs of water, air, carbon & nitrogen-rich materials.
We then add our pride & joy night crawlers, giving the best climate & temperature controlled conditions for their ideal levels. The worms themselves are left to work and rework their bedding and food resources. This is known as vermicast soil enrichment. When they are done, its time to harvest the poop these little soil builders create. Vermicast is just a fancy word for worm manure, also called "castings". Our vermicast enriched soil & castings are then lab tested on a regular basis to ensure you are getting the best product available.
By using VermiCorp Organics Worm Castings, you are adding mother nature's most pure and natural fertilizer to your project.
